Virginia Kathleen (Whitworth) Starkey

It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Virginia Starkey, also known as Momma Jenny or Granny.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Charles Van Starkey; her son Michael Van Starkey; her sisters Betty Farrar and Frances Whitworth; and her parents Boss Delbert and Maggie Lee Whitworth.

She passed peacefully at home after battling health issues for several years.  We will miss her dearly, as she was our rock and our foundation.

Please pray for our family during this time as we grieve her loss.  In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated.

She is survived by her daughters Cynthia Ann Starkey Cook, Carolyn Jo Starkey, Rebecca Jean Starkey Boddie and Lisa Alice Starkey Snider; her grandchildren Brad Cook (Chika), Michael Cook (Ashley), Sara Shaw (Britt), Katie Snider, Jarrod Snider and Jayme Snider and 8 great grandchildren and sister Annette Smith.

A private Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.  No visitation will be held.  If you would like, please make a donation to your favorite charity in remembrance of her.
