Timmy Ray Purdy

Timmy Ray Purdy, 52, of Albertville passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024.  Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 7th, 2024 at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Jason Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Boaz.

Timmy was preceded in death by his loving wife Sonya Purdy and his mother Joyce Purdy.

Timmy was born and raised in Missouri before he moved to Albertville.  He was a huge NASCAR fan who loved Dale Jarrett.  When he wasn’t watching NASCAR, he loved watching his Auburn Tigers play football.

He was one of the most loving people that you would ever meet and he adored the love of his life,  Sonya until she passed away in 2020.  He had the biggest heart and tried to help anyone that he could.  He loved to lend a helping hand at anytime to anyone in need.  He was a very independent person who loved his sons and family more than anything and his sons remember him by his “bald head.”

Timmy is survived by his sons:  Zac Purdy and his wife Kamryn; Jacob Purdy and Dustin Hammett and his wife Victoria; his grandchildren:  Aliyah Purdy; Swaze Purdy and Charleigh Purdy; his father Charles Purdy and his beloved fur babies Chloe; Shorty and Scooter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Marshall Memorial Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 am on Thursday until the start of the service.
