Robert E Grindle

Robert E Grindle, Sr, 86 of Boaz passed away Thursday May 20th, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements with Brother Nellon Smith officiating.  The funeral service will be held Monday May 24th, 2021 at 4:00 pm at Marshall Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Mac and Emma Grindle; his children Bobby Grindle and Joyce Satterfield.

Brother Robert Grindle was born and raised in the Marshall County Area where he attended school until his father passed.  At that time, he quit school and helped his mother take care of his brothers and sisters. 

Robert met and married the lovely Marie Pannell on May 19th, 1956.  They enjoyed 65 years of wedded bliss, where they even shared “sugars” with each other the day before he passed.  They had 4 children: Bobby, Joyce, Tammy and Christy.

Robert is survived by his devoted wife Marie; his children Tammy Smith and Christy Grindle; 6 grandchildren Stephen, Stephanie, Matthew, Jamie, Brad, Angela and Jay; 8 great grandchildren and his 2 brothers Howard Grindle and Kenneth Grindle.

The family will receive friends at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until the start of the service on Monday.
