Raymond was born in Scottsboro, lived in Indiana and met his loving wife Peggy in middle school. He charmed his wife into marrying him at the young ages of 15 and 16. Raymond and Peggy had 3 children they raised in the church. Brother Raymond started preaching in his 30s and preached for 42 years in the ministry.
Brother Raymond was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church where he served his God faithfully. He was a caring, kind man who was willing to help anyone in need.
Raymond loved to hunt and fish and in his spare time, he could be found in the woods or by a creek somewhere.
Raymond is survived by his loving children Kenneth McAllister; Kimberly McCarty (Randal Giles) and Kathy Downey; his grandchildren Dalton McAllister; Whitney McAllister; Harley McAllister; Jordan Downey, Destiny Downey and Kylie Murdock; his great-grandchildren Luther, Marylou, Jaxon, Aleck and Colton; his siblings Gene McAllister and Bonnie Roberts.
