Obituary

Mary Jim Brown, of Douglas, passed away on September 14th, 2022. A graveside service will be held on Friday September 16th, 2022 at Douglas cemetery in Horton, AL. 

Mary Jim Brown was born to Flossie and Albert Whitten on November 1st, 1921. She lived in the Douglas area all her life. Her life was devoted to her family during good times and during illnesses. She had three brothers who passed away on childhood and young adult years. In spite of hardships, she relied on her faith, family, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Brown; sons Jerry and Mike Brown; siblings Willie Hue Beauchamp, W.A. Whitten, Robert Whitten; and her parents Flossie and Albert Whitten

She is survived by 5 nieces and a host of great nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to employees at Branchwater Assisted Living, South Hampton Nursing Home, and all the neighbors and friends who meant so much to her throughout the years.
