Katie Lee Smith

Graveside services for Katie Lee Smith, 91, of Albertville, will be Sunday, October 10th, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Marshall Memorial Gardens.  Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers and sisters.

Katie was born in 1930 to Recy and Evaline Smith in Cullman County.  She lived there until they moved to Arab.  Katie attended the Marshall County School System and after she got out of school, she worked at the local Kendell cotton mill.  She was a strong independent lady who stood her ground when needed.  Her family adored her, and she loved her family fiercely.  She enjoyed adopting her in-laws as her children and grandchildren.

Katie is survived by her special niece Bettye Dyar and her husband Larry; her special great-niece Karon Miller; and a multitude of other nieces and nephews that she adored.
