Johnnie Lawson, 66, passed away late Wednesday December 30th, 2020 at Marshall Medical Center South in Boaz. Funeral Services will be held Sunday January 10th, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home, burial will follow afterwards at Crestview Cemetery in the Mausoleum.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his loving wife Patsy Lawson, his parents Henry and Christine Lawson, and his brother Mack Lawson.
Johnnie was born and raised in Andalusia, AL. He volunteered and served our country in the US Army. While he was serving in Germany, he met the love of his life Patsy. He loved to tell anyone who would listen, that he went halfway around the world to meet his soulmate Patsy, but they both grew up in Alabama.
Johnnie was a local businessman who was known around the Guntersville area. He was the owner and operator of Johnnie’s Car Wash up until his unexpected death. He was known for being open when his customers needed their cars clean. His work ethic was known to all in the community.
Johnnie’s pride and joy were his 2 beautiful children Sheena and Jonathan. He was a family man, who enjoyed spending every available minute with his children and his grandchildren. Any picture made of Johnnie, usually had one of his beloved grandchildren in the picture.
Johnnie is survived by his children, his daughter Sheena Bush, and her husband Brandon; his son Jonathan Lawson and his wife Sierra; his grandchildren: Sawyer Bush, Tayla Lawson, Lilith Lawson and Asher Bush; his sisters and caregivers Betty Ann and Peggy Ann; several brothers and sisters; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Saturday, January 9th, 2021 at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home.
