Jean (Terry) Worth

Jean Terry Worth, 85, passed away Saturday, March 6th, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.  Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.  Friends and family are invited to visitation at 1:00 at the funeral home with a service following at 2:00 in the chapel.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Forrester, Will Forrester, Erfon Shafiei, John Berry, John David Worth and Ray Forrester.

Mrs. Worth was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Val Terry and her beloved husband, Grover C. Worth.

Jean was an only child of Ed and Val Terry, born in Birmingham, Alabama, on October 17, 1935. Jean spent most of her life in Guntersville, Alabama. She enjoyed traveling with Grover and spending time with her grandchildren. During their travels in their motor home, she and Grover were able to travel to all fifty states.  In her later years, she also enjoyed attending bible study and playing bridge with friends.  

Jean is survived by four children:  Terry Worth (Sandra), Anne Bain (Joe), Nancy Forrester (Ray), and Bobby Worth (Julie).  She is also survived by eight grandchildren:  Laura Berry (John), Phillip Forrester, Sarah Worth, Kathryn Shafiei (Erfon), Dr. Anna Worth, Will Forrester, John David Worth, and Claire Worth, and three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Guntersville Senior Center.
