Hazel Nell Hard

Hazel Nell Hard, 94, passed away Monday June 14th, 2021, at Shepard’s Cove Hospice.  Funeral Services will be held Thursday June 17th, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home.  Burial will follow afterwards at Marshall Memorial Gardens.

Nell was preceded in death by her husband Paul Hard; her granddaughter Nikki Eason; her parents Will and Lillie Rains; her daughter in law Mary Hard; her daughter in law Mary Hard and her siblings Ruth Bankston, Bill Rains, Net Mathis, Floyd Rains and Sue Harraid.

Nell was a loving mother whose greatest accomplishment was raising her 9 children.  She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could.

Nell and Paul had a loving marriage for over 45 years until his death in 1994.  They lived and raised their children in Marshall County.  They enjoyed raising their children and tried to give them the best life they possibly could.

Nell is survived by her children Frances West; Ricky Hard; Fay Gentry; Dianne Burkhart; Jimmy Hard; Jerry Hard; Dale Hard and his wife Marilyn; Shannon Hard and Joyce Roberts and her husband Gary; grandchildren Anita; Melody; Jonathan; Michael; Dawn; Steven; JD; Amy; Heather and Zack; great-grandchildren Andrew; Whitt; Morgan; Marie; Jackson; Brooklyn; Mackenzie; Carleigh; Julie; Gavin; Alex; Olivia; Jessie; Drew; Dakota; Jack Parker; Kynzley; Sydney; Kylie; Brooke and Houston, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the start of the service on Thursday.
