Franklin Delano Mullens SR

Franklin Delano Mullens, 66, of Arab, passed away on December 15th, 2021, at his home.  Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  The family will hold a Celebration of Life, then Frank will be cremated.  The family will be taking part of his cremains to Florida to be spread on his favorite fishing hole and part to West Virginia to spread on Kopperston Mountain, near his old homestead when he was growing up.

Mr. Mullens was preceded in death by his parents; his son Joshua (Lesley) Mullens in 2020 and his brothers Tex Mullens and Poza Mullens; sisters Maggie and Doris Mullens; one nephew Johnny, adopted daughter Jennifer Johnston and a host of nieces and nephews located in West Virginia, Florida, and Alabama.

Frankie was born Jun 9th, 1955, to Oza Sr and Bessie Justice Mullens of West Virginia.  He was married to Loretta Toler Mullens.  Frank loved construction and mechanic work.  He worked 20 years putting roofs on custom homes.  He loved telling stories about house building and mechanic work.

Mr. Mullens is survived by his loving wife Loretta Toler Mullens; his sons Franklin “Dale” and Kevin Mullens both of Arab; his daughters in law Jessica Mullens, Lesley Mullens and Tonya Mullens (Eric) Calhoun; grandsons Franklin “DJ” Mullens, Joshua Michael Mullens, Matthew Ray Mullens, Jeremiah Mullens, Jacob Lee Mullens and Skylar James Mullens; granddaughters Autumn Marie Abercrombie-Mullens; Freyja Marie-Diane Calhoun and Valkyrie Carol-Lesha Calhoun; brothers Oza Jr (Joann) Mullens, Pinkey (Kathy) Mullens, Bobby Mullens and Leland Mullens; and his sisters Judy Mullens and Carrie Mullens.
