Darwin James Berard

Darwin Berard, 52, passed away Wednesday April 29th, 2020 at Dekalb Regional.  Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.  The family will hold a private graveside service.

Mr. Berard was preceded in death by his parents Domenic and Ellen Berard.

Darwin was the youngest child of Domenic (Gene) and Ellen (Arlene) Berard, born in Cleveland Ohio in 1967.   Darwin moved to Alabama with his family in 1976.

Darwin was a huge music lover, learning to play the guitar on his own.  He had a musical ear and picked up how to play by watching others.  He was an apt pupil who loved figuring out new songs and sharing them with his family and friends.  His favorite musical genre was old time rock.

Darwin is survived by his brother Donald Berard; his sister Dana Adams and her husband Robert; Debra Ledbetter and her husband Stan; his nieces and nephews Derick Berard; Chassidy Coe, Crystal McKinley, Torri Trawick, Miranda Stewart, Joshua Ledbetter and Stan Ledbetter Jr.
