Connie (Wheaton) Fowler

Connie Fowler, 64, passed away Friday, July 10th, 2020 at Marshall Medical Center South in Boaz.  Marshall Memorial Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.  The family will be holding a Memorial Service at a later date.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Rathke and her parents Adolf Wheaton and Phyllis Parker.

Connie was born and raised in Louisiana, but she had to move to Texas to find the love of her life Floyd Rathke.  They were married and raised 5 beautiful children together. 

Connie worked as a manager until she became disabled and unable to work anymore.  Connie was a wonderful kind woman, until you crossed her, then you got to meet the Cajun in her!  She was a kind and loving mother, who loved her animals as much as she did her kids.

They enjoyed a wonderful life together until Floyd died in 2019.

Connie is survived by her devoted children Brandy Smith and her husband Bill; Chris Rathke and his wife Trela; Jessica Gilmore and her husband Josh; Jason Rathke and Misty McGinnis and her husband Mario; her grandchildren Allen Smith, Michael Smith, Addison Gilmore, Tristan Gilmore, Hunter Huie, Dillion Nelson and Britney Nelson and a host of brothers and sisters and her beloved fur babies Possum and Baby.
