Steve Lee Ryan

March 25, 1960 — September 6, 2025

Albertville

Steve Lee Ryan, age 65, of Albertville, passed away on September 6, 2025.

Steve was a proud graduate of Guntersville High School and a man who lived simply, honestly, and with a deep love for his family and the outdoors. He had a lifelong fascination with computers, whether tinkering, exploring, or just enjoying time spent in front of a screen, he was in his element. He also had a soft spot for Western movies and could often be found relaxing to the sounds of gunfights and tumbleweeds.

Though he claimed he sank like a rock and didn’t care much for swimming, Steven loved the outdoors. He especially cherished time spent hiking, fishing, and camping with his sons. These moments, often filled with laughter, stories, and the kind of wisdom only a dad can pass on, were among his most treasured memories.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Ryan.

He is survived by his loving family: sons Steven Ryan (Tiffany), Cody Ryan (Samantha), and Ben Ryan (Ashley); grandchildren Lathan, Alexis, Isayah, Lane, Cayden, Landen, Paizley, Logan, and Finley; his mother Nellie Walker; and his siblings Terry Ryan and Yvonne Healy.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home; with visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Marshall Memorial Gardens. Brothers Jeff Burns and John Burns will officiate.

Steven will be remembered for his quiet strength, his deep love for family, and his unwavering sense of humor—even when talking about sinking like a rock. He will be deeply missed.
