With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing and celebrate the beautiful life of Mischa Edmonson Kelley, who passed peacefully into the presence of her Savior on July 26, 2026, after courageously living with Parkinson's disease for nearly ten years.
Born on January 29, 1953, in Anniston, Alabama, to Herbert and Iva Edmonson, Mischa was determined and strong from childhood. Throughout her life, that strength was matched by a gentle spirit, deep compassion, and an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.
Whether caring for children in her home daycare or helping families find a place to call home as a real estate agent, Mischa was known for her kindness, steady presence, and generous heart. But nothing mattered more to her than her faith in Jesus Christ and her love for her family. She shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Jud Kelley, and together they raised three children who were the joy of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Jud; her children, Rachel Kelley (Will Little), Jason Kelley, and Matthew Kelley (Lara Locatello); her grandchildren, Jessica Kelley Keefe (Travis), Violet Nowak, Jackson Nowak, Asher Nowak, Veronica Kelley, and AJ Kelley; her great-grandson, Cal Keefe; her sister, Lisa Oliver; her brothers, Chris Edmonson (Susan) and Wayne Edmonson (Kathy); and many cherished family members and friends.
Mischa's greatest legacy is not found in what she accomplished, but in the faith she lived. Her love for Jesus shaped every season of her life, and her greatest prayer was that those she loved would know Him, too. While she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in the promise that she is now healed, whole, and forever at home with the Lord.
A visitation to honor Mischa's memory will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home, 3368 AL Highway 205 N, Albertville, Alabama. A celebration of her life will follow at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with burial immediately afterward at Marshall Memorial Gardens. Family, friends, neighbors, and all whose lives were touched by Mischa are warmly invited to gather in celebration of a life so beautifully lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Crisis Pregnancy Center or Shepherd's Cove Hospice.
