Max Teal, 84, passed away at his home on May 18, 2026. Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. The family will hold a visitation at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 6-9pm. Funeral Services will be held at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Westley Kirby and Jeff Lybrand officiating. Mr. Teal will lie in state at the church from 9:00 AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Marshall Memorial Gardens.

Max was preceded in death by his loving wife Tula Teal, his parents David Kate Teal and Dealie Alice Teal, granddaughter Rachel Davis, and son in law Dan Boatwright. He is survived by his son Ronald (Janice) Teal, his daughter Rhonda Boatwright; grandchildren Craig Borgestede, Erica May, Leah Teal, Brenna Boatwright Hayes; great grandchildren; Bailey May, Logan May, Evelyn May, Nathan Sanford, Ellie Sanford, Gabriel Griffin, and Lakelynn Davis; sister Janice Jewel.

Mr. Teal was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church for 63 years. He was an active church deacon and served as church treasurer. He had a very strong faith in God and showed it by living for Him daily. He saw the good in everything and everyone. He met his loving wife Tula and they built a wonderful life together. Max worked at Goodyear for over 30 years. In his free time, he was an avid gardener.
