Martha Gail Cassell

Martha Gail Cassell passed away on Oct 25, 2025. She was born on July 24, 1946, the daughter of Robert Lee Hall and Dorothy Mae (Beam) Hall. Gail married her husband Charles Cannon “Chuck” Cassell on June 15, 1963, and they remained married for sixty-two years.

Gail is survived by Chuck Cassell, her husband; Dorothy Jean “Dottie” Cassell, daughter and Charles Benton “Chuckie” Cassell, son. Her daughter, April Suzanne Cassell predeceased on September 7, 1989.

Gail especially loved her babies. Grandsons, Charles Ray Wilson and Christopher Shaun Wilson. She also had many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

She was the first of eight children to graduate from college with a Masters Degree from the University of Alabama. She was soft-spoken and kind to all. He southern accent was not to be underestimated as she could be a fierce advocate for the things she believed in and the people she knew – especially her family.

She was the Best Wife, the Greatest Mom and a Loving Nana.

Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Graveside services will be held on October 28th, 2025 at 2:00 pm.
