Margaret Mosley Goble passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, in Boaz, Alabama, at the age of 85. Born on August 23, 1940, in Alabama, Margaret’s life was marked by her unwavering strength, deep commitment to her family, and an enduring spirit that touched all who knew her.
Margaret’s roots began in the rich soil of Alabama, a place she called home for her entire life. Throughout the years, she forged a life filled with warmth, love, and kindness. She was the beloved wife of 65 years of the late Robert Goble, whose steadfast companionship was a cornerstone of her journey. Together, they created a legacy of family, nurturing their children with care and establishing traditions that continue to bind the generations.
Margaret’s greatest treasures were her family. She mourned deeply the loss of her children, Mark Goble, Bobby Goble, Jill Goble, and Darryll Goble, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Despite having faced heartbreaking loss, Margaret’s devotion never wavered. She carried on, pouring her affection into her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, becoming a pillar of strength and continuity for all who followed.
She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Courtney Looney, Raven Maffett, Michele and Michael Varnell, Nathan Goble, John Goble, and Jesse Goble, all of whom cherished her wisdom and guidance. Numerous great children and great-great grandchildren also survive her. Margaret’s memory lives on in the hearts of her surviving family, who will carry forward her lessons of resilience, joy, and compassion.
She is also reunited in rest with her beloved husband, Robert; her children; her grandchildren Nicholas Goble and Cory Maffett; and her great-grandchild, Brady Goble. Their memories, together with Margaret’s, form a legacy of love that endures beyond measure.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home, located at 3368 AL Hwy 205 N, Albertville, AL 35950, on July 4, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the same location, with burial to take place at Marshall Memorial Gardens.
Margaret’s life was one of quiet dignity, endless giving, and steadfast devotion to those she loved most. Those privileged to know her will forever cherish the warmth she brought to their lives and the example she set through her strength and grace.
