Linda Flanders, 73, of Boaz, passed away Sunday May 10th, 2020 at Diversicare in Boaz. Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Dukes and Nellie Margaret Tapley.
Linda was born and raised in Macon,Georgia. She married and moved to Swainsboro where she had her son Brian, then she moved on to Sandersville Ga. She was a manager at KFC for over 25 years. She retired and lived in Georgia until she moved to Alabama to be closer to her son Brian.
She was a huge lover of dogs and could always be counted on to love any dog she saw. Linda painted shirts and wood crafts for her family to fight over. Lindor chocolate was her go to snack.
Gatlinburg was her favorite place to visit. She would go to the mountains anytime that she could convince someone to go with her.
Linda is survived by her devoted son Brian Flanders and his wife Gail; her granddaughters Brandi Kirkpatrick of McDonough, GA and Brittany Dewberry of Newnan GA; her great grandchildren Raeleigh Kirkpatrick, Jayden Fernatt, Brayden Fernatt and Arianna Dunlap; her half brother Jere Tapley and a host of cousins and nephews.
The family will host a Celebration of Life in Georgia at Mount Zion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or alz.org or the Dementia Society of America at dementiasociety.org.
