Jeffrey Deon Sims

Jeffrey Deon Sims, 56, of Boaz passed away Sunday, December 1st, 2024, at Shepard’s Cove with his loving family by his side. Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. The family will hold A Celebration of Life at a later date.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father John Henry Sims and his grandparents David Kate and Dealie Alice Teal.

Jeff was born and raised in Alabama and attended Boaz High School. He graduated in 1986. After graduation he met and married Amanda Collins. They welcomed their children Austin and SaraBeth.

Jeff worked as a mechanic in Marshall County. He was considered one of the best mechanics in town and stayed busy for his entire 42-year career.

He was a loving husband, father, brother and son to his family and those he loved as his own.

Jeff is survived by his devoted wife Amanda; his children Austin Sims (Haleigh) and SaraBeth Smis; his sister Sonya Hinton (Brian); his brother Myron Sims; his mother Janice Jewell; his grandkids Kollins and Gracelynn; his chosen grandkids Bailey and Braxley and a host of nieces and nephews.
