Emmett Smith, age 87, of Albertville passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at Tut Fann State Veterans Home in Huntsville, AL.Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Nolvies Smith; sons, Dennis Smith and Alan "Al" Smith; daughters, Debra Karr and Laura (Ricky) Price; brothers, D.C. (Vergie) Smith and Boyd (Hazel) Smith; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Willie Smith; sons, terry Smith and John David Smith; grandson, Daniel Smith; son-in-law Allen Karr. Visitation was held Tuesday, March 26, 2013, 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home. The Funeral Service was held Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 11:00 am at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home. Interment was in Marshall Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Patrick Dean, Doc Wilder, Josh Sullivan, Chris Hensley, Austin Wilder and Casey Smith. Bro. Joey Cannady and Bro. Orvill Godwin officiated.In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Tut Fann State Veterans Home in Huntsville, AL.
