David Curtis Porch

David Curtis Porch, 44, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2026, while faithfully serving as a missionary in Senegal, Africa. David lived a life devoted to his faith, his family, and serving others. He had a heart for people and a desire to share the love of God wherever he went. His years serving as a missionary in Senegal were a reflection of the compassion, dedication, and faith that guided his life. Above all, David was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. His greatest joy was his family, and he leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through those who knew him. Though his time on earth was far too short, the impact he made on the lives of others will not be forgotten. David is survived by his beloved wife, Holly, and their four children, Raenan, Nathan, Jayken, and Jairus; his mother, Sandra Ogle Porch; his siblings, Andrew (Sherry) Porch, Keith Porch, Jennifer (Rickey) Smith, and Lorrie (Scot Blackwell) Porch; along with a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family, friends, and many whose lives he touched through his ministry and service. He was preceded in death by his father, John Porch; his grandparents, Clyde and Lucille Ogle, and Lyn and LaMerle Porch. David's family finds comfort in knowing that his earthly life was spent faithfully serving God and others. While our hearts are broken by his sudden passing, we are grateful for the years we were blessed to have him and for the love, memories, faith, and legacy he leaves behind.

Memorial Service will be held at Albertville First Baptist Church on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at 2:30 PM. Interment to follow at Marshall Memorial Memory Gardens located at 3368 AL Hwy 205 N Albertville, AL 35950. The family welcomes all who knew and loved David to join them in remembering and celebrating his life. They are especially grateful for the continued prayers, love, and support being extended to Holly and the children as they navigate this new chapter without David.
