Charles William Jenkins

February 7, 1940 — December 11, 2025

Albertville

Charles William Jenkins, age 85, of Albertville, passed away on December 11, 2025. Born February 7, 1940, Charles lived a life defined by hard work, unwavering loyalty, and a fierce devotion to the people he loved.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025, in the chapel of Marshall Memorial Funeral Home, with Brother Aaron Richards officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 p.m. Monday until the start of the service.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Jenkins; his son, Paul Jenkins; and his daughter, Christina Jenkins.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Jenkins (Jane), and his daughter, Tess Jenkins (Jasper), who will carry forward the values he instilled in them—strength, honesty, and a deep appreciation for family.

A natural-born leader, Charles built and operated his own trucking company, earning respect throughout the community for his integrity, independence, and steadfast work ethic. He was known for protecting those he loved and for his willingness to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. His commitment to giving back made a lasting impact on countless people.

Charles was, above all else, an extraordinary father. His humor—often wrapped in a layer of dry sarcasm—kept those around him laughing. Anyone who asked how he was doing was almost guaranteed to hear his trademark reply: “I’m fat and sassy.” That saying, like his spirit, will be fondly remembered.

Charles Jenkins leaves behind a legacy of resilience, generosity, and love. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
