Buddy Bearden, known to many as Alton, passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on July 6, 1953, Buddy lived a life defined by dedication to family and a lasting commitment to those he loved.

Buddy is survived by his daughter, Amber (B.J.) Burke, and son, Johnny (Chelsea) Bearden. Brother, Paul (Rita) Bearden, and sisters, Janice (Mike) Griffin, Sherry Bearden. He is also survived by his five loving grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way. He leaves behind a legacy of care and steadfastness that will be cherished by those fortunate enough to have known him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnie Bearden; his mother, Lila Bearden; and his brother, Kim Bearden. Their memories, together with Alton’s, will continue to resonate with all who held them dear.

Alton’s life was shaped by strong family bonds and a sense of responsibility that guided him throughout the years. His presence, guidance, and friendship have left an enduring impact on his family and friends.

The passing of Buddy Alton Bearden marks the end of a significant chapter, and his memory will be honored by those whose lives he enriched.

He has chosen to be cremated, the family will be holding a memorial service in honor of Alton at a later date.
