Billy Joe Floyd, Sr.

Mr. Billy Joe Floyd, Sr., age 70, of Arab, AL passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at his residence surrounded by family after a brief battle with cancer. He was born May 11, 1942 to Ben and Monnie Floyd in Illinois.
Mr. Floyd is survived by a daughter, Susan (Robert) Hartwell; sons, Billy Floyd, Jr., Eric (Mandy) Floyd and Paul Floyd; six grandchildren and four brothers. He also leaves behind many friends he came to know after settling in Arab in 2008.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Clarissa of 35 years; granddaughter, Shaley Skeleton; four brothers and two sisters.
A celebration of life service was held at Liberty Church in Arab. Burial of his ashes was in Macon County Cemetery in Decatur, IL next to his wife.
