Albertville

Beth Howard Staton, age 84, of Albertville, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025. A cherished member of the community and a beloved caregiver to generations, Beth’s legacy of love, service, and compassion will be long remembered by all who knew her.

Funeral services for Mrs. Staton will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home, which is honored to handle the arrangements. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.

Beth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Morris Staton; her daughter, Tina Elizabeth Staton; and her brothers, Harold Howard, Donald Howard, Doyle Howard, Ronald Howard, James G. Howard Jr and her sisters, Mary Hopper of Tampa, FL; Bonnie Freeman of Forest Park, GA; and Earlene Hudgins of Smyrna, GA.

Beth was the heart and soul behind Beth's Home Daycare, which she faithfully operated for more than 60 years. Her dedication to caring for children extended far beyond duty—it was her passion and her joy. The children she once cared for returned to entrust their own children to her loving hands. To Beth, these children were not just charges—they were her children. Many remained in touch, visiting her well into their adult years, a testament to the deep bonds she formed and the lives she so positively impacted.

Even after retiring from her daycare just two years ago, Beth’s warmth and generous spirit remained a guiding light to her family and the community. Known for her kind heart and quiet strength, she was a woman everyone loved—a steady, nurturing presence who left an indelible mark on all she met.

She is survived by her devoted grandson, Jeremy McClendon, and his girlfriend, Heather Carr, of Albertville; her brothers, David Howard (Jeannie) of Hiram, GA; Larry Howard (Karen) of Joshua, TX; and Bobby Howard (Margie) of Boaz, AL

Beth's legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched with her unwavering kindness, her laughter, and the sense of home she offered to so many. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered always.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 p.m. on the day of the service.
