Austin Bonds

Austin Bonds, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 30. He was born on October 1, 1996, in Guntersville.

Austin will be remembered as someone who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he also took pleasure in raising chickens. Time spent outside was a meaningful part of his life, and those who knew him will remember the happiness he found in those simple and steady pursuits.

He is survived by his father, Shannon Bonds; his grandfather and grandmother, Jerry and Karen Bonds; and his grandmother, Brenda Owens. He is also survived by his brothers, Jordan Bonds and his wife Nikki, Landon Bonds, Damon Bryant, Dylen Bryant, and Cody Bell; by his sisters, Cloey Davis and Taylor Fincher; and by his nephews, Aiden Bonds, Grayson Bonds, and Bennett Bonds. Amongst a host of surviving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He will be missed by his family and by all who knew and loved him.

Austin was preceded in death by his mother, Misty Thurmond; his grandmother, Ovell Bonds; and his grandfather, J.D. Bonds.

Austin's passing brings deep sorrow to his family and friends, and his memory will remain with them always. May those who loved him find comfort in the days ahead and peace in the remembrance of his life. 

There will be a visitation held at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, October 12, 2026 from 2-4 pm with a graveside service to follow in Marshall Memory Gardens.
