Alan Bennet Stoner

Alan Bennett Stoner, 75, passed away on December 4th, 2025, in Chattanooga. Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. The family will hold a private Celebration of Life at a later date.

Alan was preceded in death by his son Jason Stoner and his parents Gordon and Effie Stoner and his brother Michael Stoner.

Alan loved football and he was the star fullback of the Guntersville Class of 1968. He remained friends with his football buddies his entire life. He was nicknamed “Big Al”.

He was a proud father and grandfather and he loved his family. Nothing made his prouder than being a born-again Christian.

Alan is survived by his brother Larry Stoner (Katie) and his sister Debra Wilson (David); his granddaughter Taylor Stoner and one great grandchild.
