Wilma Strawn Obituary

Mrs. Wilma Kinney Strawn age 97 of Gadsden, formerly of Albertville passed away Thursday, September 12, 2018 at Gadsden Health and Rehab. She had been a patient there since 2016. Mrs. Strawn was born in Holly Pond Alabama to Joe Clark and Bessie Shelton Kinney on May 25, 1921. She married John T. Strawn and lost him in an automobile accident in 1949 when their only son was 3 months old. She worked for Howard Brothers as a Department Manager for many years. Wilma was also an active member of the VFW Women's Auxillary for many years unitl her stroke. She is survived by her son, John and wife Debbie of Albertville.

The family celebrated the life of Mrs. Strawn on Friday, September 14, 2018 at a Graveside Service at Marshall Memory Gardens.
