Rose Kermondy Obituary

Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 19th, 2019 at 11:00 am for Rose Ward Kermondy, 67, of Albertville, at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home.  Dr Keith Williams will officiate.  Burial will follow immediately after in Marshall Memory Gardens.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Dorothy Ward; her first husband David Oliver; and her stepson David Oliver Jr.

Rose spent the last 31 years with the love of her life John traveling around the world.  They visited Canada, Niagara Falls and the Bahamas.  They also gave back to their church by chaperoning numerous youth trips to Pigeon Forge.

Rose loved the Lord and made sure to honor him by teaching Sunday School for many years.  She was a member of Central Baptist Church and could always be seen on Sunday singing in the choir.

There wasn’t a mean bone in Rose’s body, and she was considered a true joy to be around.  She was a fun-loving Christian who loved her kids and husband dearly.

Rose hated to cook.  It was the thing she despised most.  She wanted to make John corn beef and cabbage once for supper and tried to make it with a can of corn beef and a head of cabbage.  John immediately took her grocery shopping and showed her how to make it from scratch.  That can of corn beef and cabbage was eventually thrown out.

She is survived by her loving husband John Kermondy; her son John Kermondy Jr; her chosen daughter Jennifer Dickie; her stepson Christopher (Renii) Oliver; her sisters Debra Colley and Susan Boyles; her brother Michael Ward; 2 grandchildren Joseph and Hannah.

Pallbearers will be: Christopher Oliver, Greg Miller, Derek Ward, John Kermondy Jr., Chase Kermondy and Johnny Shell.

The family will receive friends at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 18th, 2019 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm.
