Faye Thompson

Ellie Faye Thompson, 77, passed away Tuesday December 10, 2019 at Marshall Medical Center North.  Marshall Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with Mrs. Thompson’s care.  Funeral services will be Friday, December 13th at 12:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will follow afterwards at Marshall Memory Gardens. 

Faye was proceeded in death by her husband, James “JT” Thompson; and her brothers Vertis Malone and Otis Malone and her sister Elgie Mae Malone.

She is survived by her son; Nick Thompson and his wife Pam; her granddaughter April Burdett and her husband Matthew; her great grandchildren Meredith and John Burdett; and her sister Carolyn Francisco.

Miss Faye was an avid gardener. One of the only things she enjoyed more than gardening was arguing with her son. She was a very strong, independent woman who lived alone after losing the love of her life JT.   For twenty years, she push mowed her own yard, even though it was uphill. She was an example of a hard-working woman. She loved her family fiercely. She enjoyed every minute she had with her family and looked forward to spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Miss Faye will be sorely missed. She leaves behind a family who will always remember the love and guidance she brought to their lives.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 12th from 6-8 pm at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home.
