Dorothy (Smith) Gant

Mrs. Dorothy Sue Gant age 84 of Albertville passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice. She was born March 28, 1934 in Alabama to Horace and Mary (Mardis) Smith. She retired from the Lee Plant when it closed.

Mrs. Gant is survived by her Husband of 6 years, Jackson Gant; her son Allan (Linda) Taylor; daughter Sherry (Daryl) Chandler; 3 brothers: Curtis (Edna) Smith, John Smith and Billy (Edna) Smith; grandchildren: Jeremy Padgett, Sean Taylor and Whitney Taylor and great grandchildren Cassie Vaughn and Aidan Padgett. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy L. Taylor and a sister-in-law, Betty Smith.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Marshall Memorial Funeral Home with visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Marshall Memory Gardens. Brother Terry Gilbert will officiate.
