Clara Clark

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 2nd, 2019 at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home for Mrs. Clara Clark, 87, of Guntersville, who died on Tuesday April 30th, 2019.  Burial will follow at Marshall Memory Gardens.  Pastors Ricky Bell and Ray Martin are officiating.  Marshall Memorial Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Pannell (James) and Judy Simpson: sons Roger McAllister and Billy Clark; step-daughters Sue Cain and Jean Clark; grandchildren, Kim Hard (Kevin), Jennifer Hampton (Tim), Angela Cyree (Matt), Kera Lee, Alex Clark, and Caleb Russell; 8 great grandchildren, and her special friend Maryanna Abernathy.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Clark, her mother and father, Jesse and Evie Potter, her daughter in law, Vickie McAllister, and several brothers and sisters.

Clara was a mother to all that knew her and was always a compassionate person to not only her family, but her friends.  From a young age, she was constantly feeding people that couldn’t care for themselves and continued doing so until the last couple of years.  Ms.  Clark was an avid gardener and was able to tend her own garden up until last year.  She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and loved her church family as much as she loved her own family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home, Wednesday May 1st, 2019.
